[Annecy] Warner Bros and Cartoon Network Tease Their Slate


As the Annecy International Animation Festival continues on, various studios have taken to the stage to preview their upcoming titles. Among them Warner Bros Animation and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe announced several new titles during their Studio Focus. They included an Adventure Time movie, an anime-styled take on Scooby-Doo and the return of Regular Show

The Adventure Time Movie

Finn and Jake embark on their greatest adventure yet. Attached talent includes Rebecca Sugar, Patrick McHale and Adam Muto. This is not the first time that a feature-length Adventure has been announced, but let's hope that this time it actually makes it to production.

Adventure Time: Side Quests

Adventure Time spin-off that is skewing younger and features younger versions of Finn and Jake. The series will be a return to more like the earlier days of the show, with standalone adventures, and will also feature the return of fan favourite characters.

Foster’s Funtime for Imaginary Friends

Preschool spin-off of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. It features a group of preschool imaginary friends who learn from their immature older friend Bloo who often accidently gets things wrong. The series brings back original creator Craig McCracken and is being produced at Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe.

Untitled Regular Show Project

J.G. Quintel is bringing Mordecai and Rigby back for a new incarnation of Regular Show. That's all we know for now- the details are being kept under wraps.

Adventure Time: Heyo BMO

The first preschool spin-off for Adventure Time, featuring the little robot BMO. Now settled in a new neighbourhood with a new group of friends "BMO approaches each challenge he faces with his unique brand of enthusiasm and curiosity in a quest to learn and fill his database."

Untitled 'Barbara Throws A Wobbler' Project

Based on the popular children's book by Nadia Shireen, Barbara is a little cat with BIG feelings. Most days Barbara feels like any other cat- enjoying, sleeping, playing with balls of wool and more. But some days are different and Barbera gets a BIG feeling she just can't keep inside. The series is being developed by Joris Van Hulsen at Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe.

Go-Go Mystery Machine

While on a foodie trip to Japan, Shaggy and Scooby accidentally unleash hundreds of mythological,  mischievous monsters (yokai) that spread throughout the country. Joined by Scooby's Uncle Daisuke-Doo, and magical friend Etsuko and gadget wiz Toshiro, Shaggy and Scooby try their best to clean up their mess.

Bad Karma

An exciting and epic series about courage and the unlikely friendship between a young demon princess, Chandra, and the legendary demi-god a young demon princess, Chandra, and the legendary demi-god Veer. From the creative minds of Sanjay Patel (Sanjay's Super Team), Rajesh Devraj, Vikash Shankar, and Katie Rice (Animaniacs).

Lovey Dovey

Adult animation from Warner Bros Animation. It follows an optimistic Wedding Dove, on the hunt for the love of his life. He gets stuck with a bunch of streetwise pigeons who have only one goal in life: screwing the large bird from a popular kids TV show.
