Long Story Short Gets A Teaser Trailer

BoJack Horseman was one of Netflix's first breakout adult animation hits. With a unique style and outlook, the series went on to be a hit for six seasons between 2014-2020. Now, creator  Raphael Bob-Waksberg is returning to Netflix with a new adult animation series this summer, Long Story Short.

The series is a family sitcom (no talking animals this time) that follows the Schwooper siblings. The twist is that we get to see them both in childhood and in adulthood, and see how much (or maybe how little) has changed with the passing of the years. The series hopes to be relatable, particularly to those of us who grew up with siblings.

The voice cast includes Lisa Edelstein, Paul Reiser, Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Angelique Cabral, and Nicole Byer, with recurring guest roles Dave Franco and Michaela Dietz.

Bob-Waksberg is the showrunner, executive producer and writer. His long-term collaborator Lisa Hanawalt (BoJack Horseman producer and creator of Tuca & Bertie) is supervising producer. Other Executive Producers include Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen for Tornante Television, and Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley as co-executive producers for ShadowMachine. Animation production is by ShadowMachine.

"Long Story Short is an animated comedy about one family, over time, " says Netflix " Jumping through the years, we follow the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises."

The series will stream from August 22. Check out the first teaser trailer below.
