The Children's and Family Emmy Awards Nominations Have Been Announced
The Emmys are the preemenant awards in the world of television. And as well as the main "Prime Time" Emmys, the Televsion Academy also holds several other ceremonies throughout the year. The most recent addition to which is the Children's and Family Emmy Awards. As the name suggests, the event recognises excellence in TV aimed at an audience of children and families. And there are an awful lot of catergories dedicated to animation.
This year's nominations have been announced for the ceremony which takes place on March 1 and March 2, 2026.
There was big success for Disney, scoring a recird-breaking 103 nominations across all Categories. Titles will multiple nominations include Pixar's Win or Lose and Dream Productions, Kiff, An Almost Christmas Story, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. It's also good new for Netflix, with nominees including Wolf King, The Dragon Prince, Gabby's Dollhouse, That Christmas, Spellbound and Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld. Apple picked up multiple nominations too, for titles including Wonder Pets: In The City, Eva The Owlet and WondLa. In a bittersweet development the now infamously cancelled Tiny Chef Show also picked up multiple nominations.
