UK's Picturehouse Cinemas Announces "We Heart Miyazaki" Season

Hayao Miyazaki, the genius behind Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke announced that The Wind Rises was to be his final film as director. As his final film gears up for its UK release in May, leading Indie/Arthouse cinema chain Picturehouse is holding a series of special screenings to salute the world's greatest living animator. The events will run at sixteen different locations across the country,  kicking off April 26th.

Six of Miyazaki's masterpieces will screen: My Neighbour Totoro, Porco Rosso, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo. This will be a rare chance for animation fans to see Miyazaki films as they were meant to be seen- on the big screen. The films will mainly screen in their original language versions, but some English screenings are also scheduled in some cases. Check out the full list of locations after the jump.
